Spring has definitely arrived on the Maine coast with the return of great blue herons, snowy egrets, great egrets and the glossy ibis. Students stopped several places along Scarborough Marsh and learned about the many features of the marsh, which is important resting, nesting and feeding ground and a rich natural resource. Honing their bird ID skills, students were able to nab many species for their yearly checklist.
