Tis the season with Bryant Pond

Kinda sad, really. I imagine people interested in the program might look at our website and simply see one side to what we do. In addition to these experiences we want the students to have, MESA students also spend just as much time if not more taking notes in a traditional setting. A decent amount of thought goes into what "taking notes" means. 

Today, our students were given a lesson as to why, even though we are closer to the sun right now it is winter. So it was the season to talk about the seasons. 

Phil and Izz did a great job at the dry erase board going over the solstices and equinoxes, as well what it would be like to live in a country like Iceland. The students had many clarifying questions and took plenty of notes in their experiential journals.
