Onto something bigger

ON Thursday December 3th, MESA travelled to the Ossipee Town Hall to present to other schools, townspeople, and parents their findings of the work completed with the Green Mountain Conservation Group. While traveling on the bus, it became quite obvious to the teachers, something very special was afoot:

1. These students, middle school students, volunteered to devote their evening to a benevolent cause.
2. These same students were going to speak publicly, an act many adults fear.
3. MESA had more students than any other of the seven schools represented.
4. MESA travelled further than any other school.
5. MESA did not use the microphone, instead each student projected their voices into the large meeting area.

The evening was a smashing success. Students did an incredible job presenting their findings in an articulate manner that impressed everyone.
