How does water flow through a tree?

Trees are tall, right? So how can water travel all the way up a giant King Pine that is over 120 feet tall? MESA ventured to TMCC to find out from teacher naturalist Mike Dufilho. First, there were snowshoes involved. Getting 30 kids equpped is not your ordinary school day.

Then there was a giant game of full body rock-paper-scissors to get the kids energized and prepared for the lesson. The game morphed into another game in which the students were exposed to the fact that all resources for tree growth are not always present.

After students were brought out into the woods to explore and xylem and phloem.
