Down the Saco after a day up the mountain

I realize if this were baseball...I would so be batting out of order. Here are a few snippets of an amazing trip down the Saco.

No bugs. Well, at Walker's Bridge there were plenty of mosquitoes, but once on the river the only bugs we saw were the hordes of dragonflies at the Lovewell Pond takeout.

Students were amazing. There were pirates, gondoliers, flabby arms, random extremely isolated showers, floating pretzels, kayak support (thank you Coach Bob yet again), poetry recitals, viking ships, and of course none of this would have been possible if it were not for Fred and Prudy Westerberg of Saco River Canoe and Kayak.
